HTS draws a clear distinction between types of renovation:

**Not offered:** Sanding and re-lacquering existing wooden staircases. The effort required for a high-quality refurbishment does not justify the result -- a new staircase is often the more economical choice.

**Offered:**
- **Complete replacement:** Old staircase out, new custom solid wood staircase in
- **Solid wood cladding on concrete:** Concrete staircases are fully clad with solid wood -- **200--280 euros per step** depending on wood species
- **Step replacement on metal structures:** Existing steps on metal substructures are replaced with new solid wood treads -- **180--210 euros per step**

In all cases, HTS carries out the work on-site.
