What is a central-post staircase?

Clear, concise answers.

The central-post staircase is an alternative to the classic spiral staircase offered by HTS:

Construction principle: - A central support post forms the load-bearing core - The treads are arranged around this post - Unlike spiral staircases, the construction is rectangular -- the outer sides run along the walls - Not round like classic spiral staircases

Advantages: - Space-saving -- makes optimal use of corner situations - Stable -- the central post and wall connection ensure high stability - Versatile -- can be used in various floor plans - All HTS wood species and finishes available

Important: HTS does not build round spiral staircases. The central-post staircase is the space-saving alternative with rectangular geometry and is particularly suited for compact floor plans where a conventional stringer staircase would take up too much space.
