What wood species and finishes does HTS offer?

Clear, concise answers.

The HTS wood range includes:

Main species: - Beech: Warm, light-brown colour, calm grain, very durable. In finger-jointed variant, the most affordable wood in the range. - Oak: The classic and most popular wood at HTS. Extremely hard, long-lasting, distinctive grain. Particularly beautiful in the brushed variant. - Ash: Less commonly chosen, but with a striking grain and high elasticity -- ideal for winder staircases. - Hevea: Preferred for colour-lacquered finishes (e.g. white stringers), as the wood takes lacquer particularly well.

Special woods on request: Acacia, walnut, and other species subject to availability.

Variants: Every wood is available as continuous lamella (uniform appearance, higher quality) or finger-jointed (multiple pieces interlocked and glued, more affordable).

Finishes: - Clear matt lacquer: The standard -- easy to maintain and hard-wearing - Oiling: Also available in colours, highlights the natural wood structure - Colour lacquering: Any colour possible, especially on hevea - Brushing: Particularly popular on oak, creates a tactile textured surface
