The secure fixing of a wall-mounted handrail depends on the wall material and chosen brackets:

**Fixing methods by wall type:**
- **Concrete/solid brick:** Standard wall plugs and screws -- the most secure option
- **Hollow block/aerated concrete:** Special plugs or chemical anchors required
- **Plasterboard walls:** Additional reinforcement behind the wall cladding needed

**Bracket spacing:** Every **80--130 cm**, depending on handrail material and profile. For heavy wood handrails, choose shorter intervals.

**Installation procedure:**
1. Hold the handrail at the desired height (85--90 cm above the tread nosing)
