Granite

Granite is one of the hardest natural stones and thus ideal for heavily used stair treads. It is extremely abrasion-resistant, frost-proof and easy to maintain. Granite is suitable for both representative interior stairs and outdoor stairs, as it permanently withstands weathering. The surface can be polished, flamed or blasted — flamed and blasted variants offer higher slip resistance.
