DIN 68368 — Rule reference
Category: Rule reference
Standard for hardwood lumber used in stair construction.
DIN 68368 specifies the quality requirements for hardwood lumber used in stair building – including oak, beech, ash, maple and walnut. The standard defines which knot, crack and discolouration features are permitted in each grading class, how dimensions and moisture content are to be measured, and how the material is to be marked. It is the reference for ordering and accepting high-quality stair timbers and complements the durability and hardness classifications under further European standards.
