Winder Step — Underfoot element
Category: Underfoot element
Wedge-shaped step in winding stair sections.
A winder step has a trapezoidal or wedge-shaped plan. The inner side is narrower than the outer, enabling the direction change of a winding staircase. DIN 18065 stipulates that the going at the walking line must also meet minimum dimensions on winder steps to ensure safe passage.
