Staircase with a single central load-bearing beam.
A centre-stringer stair has a single central beam on which the treads are fixed. The metal support structure is often height-adjustable, allowing centre-stringer stairs to be flexibly adapted to different storey heights. They appear particularly light and are suited as a space-saving solution.
