Half-Turn Stair — Layout variation
Category: Layout variation
Staircase with a 180-degree turn in the flight.
A half-turn stair turns 180 degrees in the course of the flight. The direction change is achieved via wedge-shaped winder treads forming a flowing curved section. Half-turn stairs are space-saving and particularly suitable for narrow stairwells, as the start and finish of the stair lie one above the other. They are one of the most common stair forms in residential construction.
