Quarter-Turn — Layout variation
Category: Layout variation
Stair flight with a 90-degree turn.
A quarter-turn stair makes a 90-degree direction change in the course of the flight. The turn is achieved through wedge-shaped winder steps or a quarter landing. Quarter-turn layouts are space-saving and arranged in an L-shape. The winding can be located at the bottom, in the middle or at the top of the flight.
