Maple — Material species

Category: Material species

Light, fine-pored hardwood with uniform texture for modern staircases.

European maple is a light to almost white hardwood with a fine, uniform grain and a Brinell hardness of approximately 27 N/mm². It is particularly suitable for staircases with a modern, Scandinavian design, making rooms appear bright and open. Maple is slightly softer than oak or beech but exceptionally uniform in structure and pleasant to the touch. It may darken slightly with prolonged sun exposure.
