Straight Single-Flight Stair — Layout variation
Category: Layout variation
Stair flight without direction change or landing.
A straight single-flight stair runs without an intermediate landing and without direction change from one storey level to the next. It is the simplest form of stair flight and is subject to the dimensional requirements of DIN 18065. Straight stairs require comparatively large floor space in length but offer maximum walking comfort.
