Official approval for construction products and methods.
A building approval is the official recognition of a construction product or method by the competent building authority. It confirms that the product meets current technical rules and safety standards. Extensive testing is carried out covering mechanical, fire-protection and other requirements. Such approval is frequently required for self-supporting staircases and cantilever constructions.
