European Technical Assessment (ETA)

Europe-wide approval for non-standardised construction products.

The European Technical Assessment (ETA) provides a Europe-wide approval for construction products not covered by harmonised standards. In Germany it is issued by the German Institute for Building Technology and has no time limit. For self-supporting stairs, cantilever and suspended stair constructions, the ETA provides the necessary legal certainty.
