Classification of stairs by fire-resistance duration.
The fire-resistance class indicates how long a staircase maintains its load-bearing capacity in a fire. It is designated with a letter F and a time value — F30 for 30 minutes, F60 for 60 minutes or F90 for 90 minutes. When selecting a staircase, the regional building regulations must be observed.
