Landing Step — Underfoot element

Category: Underfoot element

Topmost step of a stair flight — marks the transition from stair to upper floor level. Its top surface is flush with the finished floor of the storey above.

The landing step is the last upper step of a staircase. It represents the transition from the stair flight to the adjoining storey and thus forms the end of the flight. The top surface of the landing step finishes flush with the finished floor level (FFL) of the upper storey.
