Individual wood treads — orderable as a component
You do not need a complete staircase, just individual wood treads? That is exactly what we make. Whether you are building yourself, re-cladding an existing staircase or adding individual steps — we mill treads, risers, starting steps and landing steps to your exact measurements. Private customers and joiners alike order individual components from us. Every step is made in our own workshop in Witten, in one of the six HTS woods and in the surface finish of your choice. Delivered ready to install — or our team fits the steps on site.
- Tread: the horizontal stepping surface you walk on
- Riser: the vertical surface between two treads — visually closes the staircase
- Starting step: the lowest step at the foot of the staircase, often specially shaped
- Landing step: the top step at the transition to the floor
- Six woods to choose from: oak, knotty oak, beech, beech heartwood, ash or hevea
- Three surface finishes: oiled with hard wax oil, clear-lacquered or white-lacquered

Our process
Send measurements or measure on site
You send us the dimensions of your steps — length, depth, thickness and desired wood. For a cladding renewal on a concrete or metal staircase we capture each step contour digitally on site, because such steps are rarely exactly identical. That way every step fits to the millimetre in the end.
Define wood, surface and step type
You choose from six woods and three surface finishes — ideally using samples in our showroom. We clarify which step types you need: treads only, or also risers, starting and landing steps. A material mix is possible, for example oak treads with white-lacquered risers.
Manufacture in the Witten workshop
We mill each step precisely, sand the edges and apply the chosen surface — oiled with hard wax oil, clear-lacquered or white-lacquered. On request we add millings to the treads, for example for a safe stepping edge.
Delivery ready to install or with fitting
You receive the finished steps delivered ready to install — ready for your own fitting or for your joiner. On request our team handles the on-site fitting in Witten and the surrounding area. We deliver across the Ruhr region and NRW.
