Powder Coating — Glossary entry
Category: Glossary entry
Hard-wearing surface treatment for metal parts.
Powder coating is a process in which a lacquer powder is applied to a metal component and then baked at high temperature. This gives steel or aluminium parts a hard-wearing, corrosion-resistant surface in almost any colour. In stair construction, powder coating is frequently used for railings, stringers, posts and other metal components.
